• Lexmark’s Perceptive Software announces that Tulsa-based Saint Francis Health System will deploy Perceptive Acuo VNA to consolidate medical image management for radiologists and clinical users across all hospital and clinic locations. 
• Perceptive Acuo VNA is a vendor neutral foundation that drives better care delivery through a patient-centric approach to clinical content management. It improves clinical workflow and archiving capabilities for healthcare organizations, enabling all clinical content to be easily shared across the enterprise and providing greater freedom and flexibility in implementing departmental systems that best meet patient care, clinical quality and business process needs. Perceptive Acuo VNA also strengthens business continuance and disaster recovery capabilities with VNA software running in primary and secondary data centers.
• Perceptive Acuo VNA will serve as a medical image abstraction layer between departmental systems and data storage platforms. This will give Saint Francis Health System a better approach to sharing images across the enterprise and control of clinical data for greater flexibility in selecting new clinical systems when aging systems and storage platforms need to be replaced.
• Perceptive Acuo VNA stores medical imaging data in a standard format, providing interoperability among server and storage infrastructure, department viewing and workflow applications. This standard formatting also eliminates the need to migrate data whenever a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is replaced or when new facilities are integrated with the Saint Francis healthcare network.
• Saint Francis Health System currently utilizes Perceptive Software for content management across the clinical enterprise including departments such as health information management (HIM), medical records, patient registration, accounts payable and human resources. Perceptive Software solutions integrate with the health system’s existing applications including: SAP, IDX/GE Centricity, NextGen®, QuadraMed®, and Encore.
• Saint Francis is currently deploying Epic EMR and is integrating scheduling, registration, HIM and patient finance functionality with Perceptive ECM. The Perceptive ECM integration will enable the organization to efficiently manage unstructured content and make it available within the patient electronic medical record.
